Your child will progress through 3 years of learning in the Senior Phase. SQA National 1 and National 2 qualifications build on and reflect the learning that has taken place during the Broad General Education.

Choice National Qualifications
As well as core SQA qualifications your child will be encouraged to undertake 2 additional option choices from the following subject areas:

Prior to selecting options, the class teacher will arrange a meeting with you to discuss the options available and what your child’s preferences may be. Through a Total communication approach, the pupil will then be facilitated to indicate a choice based on their preferred activities.
For example:
At his S3 annual review, it is noted that Jack loves the swimming pool and daily dance sessions. He has also demonstrated active participation in preparing craft items for the school’s 2 annual fayres.
Through Total Communication Jack is facilitated to make a meaningful choice, based on his preferences and the units that he will undertake are as follows:
